E-commerce website in Marrakech
CMI for card payers, cash on delivery for everyone else, integration with Moroccan carriers — we build what works here, not what works in Paris. We work with businesses in Marrakech from our Agadir office.
E-commerce website in Marrakech: our approach
Marrakech is a city of craftspeople and makers: Medina workshops, design and décor showrooms in Sidi Ghanem, fashion and cosmetics brands. Here an online shop can extend a visit: a customer discovers a rug, a lamp or a bag while travelling, then wants to order again once back home. Since they can no longer touch the product, the page has to say it all — dimensions, materials, close-up photos, how it is made. The same shop is also how you sell to customers anywhere in Morocco.
What matters for a business in Marrakech
Tourism drives much of Marrakech's economy: international and Moroccan visitors, riads in the Medina, hotels in the Hivernage district and the Palmeraie, restaurants and rooftops, day trips to the Atlas and the Agafay desert. The city also hosts weddings, seminars and plenty of events. It has an active property market, mixing main homes and second homes, along with spas and hammams, golf courses and a dense network of craftspeople, from the Medina souks to the design workshops of Sidi Ghanem. Customers speak French, Arabic or English; visitors often book from abroad, and business follows the tourist seasons. Alongside them, a large resident population keeps shops, clinics, schools and services busy all year round.
Our angle here: Technopek has no office in Marrakech. If your business is based there, your project is run remotely from our original office in Agadir: video meetings, phone calls and WhatsApp, with every step signed off in writing before we move on.
Your E-commerce website project, run by our Agadir team.
Not a call-center. You meet the same people from the first brief to launch.

E-commerce website in Marrakech: sell in Morocco, abroad, or both?
Start with the market you already serve, then open the second once the first runs smoothly. In Morocco, the shop should offer cash on delivery and, ideally, card payment through CMI, with every order confirmed by phone and a national carrier. Abroad, customers pay by card and want to know everything before they confirm: shipping costs, delivery times, return terms, and possible import duties on arrival depending on the country. For a rug or a piece of furniture, shipping is expensive, so show that cost on the product page rather than lose the sale at checkout. A simple shop starts from 4,900 MAD; international shipping is priced into the quote.
